Job Description

The Role:

The Red Hat Sales Organization is seeking an experienced Channel Sales professional to manage channel development, achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction in Korea. As a Channel Sales Account Representative, you will be responsible for the development of channel partners, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and maintaining relationships with top partners and key accounts, as well as acting as an ambassador for Red Hat in non-named accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with existing and potential channel partners to meet assigned sales quota by creating and executing sales plans and strategies with local field sales teams.
  • Work with the distributors to identify, recruit and bring on board new partners (Platform, Middleware and Virtualization), that is, build the partner ecosystem for Red Hat in Korea and grow the revenue contribution by the partner eco-system.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with channel partners, ISVs, and key accounts to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure after-market revenue.
  • Manage internal Red Hat resources (primarily Sales Engineers, Consultants, and Inside Sales) to support sales and account expansion efforts with key partners in the field.
  • Understand and integrate sales initiatives across direct/inside sales channels of distribution (distributor, reseller).
  • Provide sales support to partner sales organizations through training, customer visits, technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, customer price quotes.
  • Manage channel development, sales and customer satisfaction within the territory.
  • Desired Skills & Experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Has strong understanding of channels management and very familiar with the channels business in Korea.
  • Has good network and contacts of channel partners in Korea.
  • Is self-starter and passionate about work, interested to grow with Red Hat.
  • Has excellent interpersonal relationship development skills.
  • At least 5 years of channels and software sales experience, with proven track record in business development.
  • Has knowledge on Open source market, Red Hat Linux and/or Middleware (JBoss) products.
  • End-user sales experience is a plus.
